Deconstructing David Icke

"he who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man"
-Johnson

I really like David Icke. Not necesarilly for his predictable critique of everything right wing (everybody already knows we are ruled by lizards!) but because of the stunt he pulled in 1991 on TV. Dressed in a gawdy eighties style neon jumpsuit he declared on a talk show that he was the SON OF GOD, which got him much expected ridicule.

Not the craziest statement considering we might all be the children of god/nature (woops tones of grandeur there) but anyone who pretends to be anyone, even in the 90's without authoritive approval is obviously sacrilegious. This has been the style of talk show stunts everyday since then, he might of even been the pioneer. Especially with Jerry Springer and the likes, so it's hard not to consider that this decision on Icke's part wasn't premeditated. I mean look at that jumpsuit.. thats so deliberate Dave!! I'm deeply sorry for whatever turmoil you might of been going through with your marriage  but you didn't look like you were in any pain! Well anyways, it's just clothing.. but Icke has said it many times himself that anyone who can escape the psychological inset of public approval and always worrying of what others think is finally free to think and maybe do what they want (hopefully without escaping the responsibility of treating others with respect) and David is always a gentleman. So what do you do after everyone in the world laughs at you? You write books about how ridiculous those people are for following fascist dogmas so blindly with weak opiated materialistic smiles... and thats the profiteable trend now. Alex Jones is compareable the way he went through a crazy phase of ridicule with his blaring megaphone, and his stuff is questionable at times, (he looks like he could be a hard line left wing dictator when he turns red) but we like dissent these days in all forms. That's our pressure release valve for conformity.

David Icke is just an average intellectual guy who stumbled on an insight, acted on it, and likes to write about it. I like your style.
