Ode to Bill Hicks
get home, right click on the desktop, new text file, and so I start typing. I remember Bill Hicks alot, you know because of the impression he left on me, and it's good to hear him say "it's just a ride man, and I go about my day.." a few times when needed because it feels good to hear that. Yeah it's just a ride, but what a ride it is! I have so many thoughts I want to share with everyone, and all I got lately is SSSsshhh! be quiet, you'll wake up the baby!! it's frustrating. I want to go wild again, I know it's coming soon I can feel it swelling up inside me, like this knot of frustration from all the times I just pretend to be functional. But I went outside, had a drag, then walked by this fence where a wind tunnel was gusting through.. and I listened.. and then I had my ode to Bill moment, and I looked up at the dark sky above with the nightclub spotlight glaring off of a cloud and I said theres your god looking down at you Jesse, and I suddenly wished the wind was actually going to hoist me up into the Himalayas where I could feel alive again. I'm always fighting the wind, but tonight, behind that condo courtyard, I wanted to be where that wind lives up in the mountains feeling the sting of my maker..
